6th Kalma Radde Kufr: Turning to Allah and Rejecting Disbelief

Do you ever feel lost, searching for deeper purpose and clarity? Many find comfort in the path of faith. The 6th Kalma, focusing on repentance and seeking divine guidance, offers a path toward meaning and inner peace.

What is Sixth Kalima?

The Sixth Kalima (6th Kalma) is one of the six essential statements of belief in Islam. It’s a strong statement that says there is only one God (Allah) and rejects any other false beliefs.

Radde kufr or radde-e-kuffer means turning away from Kuffer (anything that goes against the idea that there is only one God).

6Th Kalma Radde Kufr

Kuffer Types

Kufr of Denial

It means someone is actively saying that he doesn’t believe in Allah, His messengers, or the basics of Islam.

Kufr of Hypocrisy

This means pretending to be a believer on the outside but not believing in the heart. Hypocrites often do this to get things or look good to others.

Kufr of Arrogance

This is like the sin of Iblees (Satan). It means knowing the truth but refusing to believe it because of pride.

Kufr of Doubt

This means being unsure or not knowing for sure if Allah (SWT) exists or if Islam is faithful.

There are different ways someone can show Kufr. Muslims need to know about these ways to keep their faith strong and avoid doing things that might lead to disbelief.

“O Allah, I seek refuge with You from associating anything with You while I know it, and I ask Your forgiveness for what I do not know. I repent from it and I disavow disbelief, polytheism, falsehood, backbiting, innovation, gossiping, obscenities, slander, and all sins. I submit and I say, “There is no deity except Allah, Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.”

Hadith About Kufr

In Islam, kufr is the ultimate act of rebellion against Allah, a sin with profound consequences. The hadiths related to Kufr are:

Narrated ‘Abdullah:

He said: “When (the following) was revealed: It is those who believe and confuse not their belief with Zulm (wrong) (6:82) – That bothered some Muslims, so they said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! Which of us has not wronged himself?’ He said: ‘It is not that, it is only Shirk, have you not heard what Luqman said to his son: O my son! Do not commit Shirk with Allah. Verily Shirk is a tremendous Zulm (wrong) (31:13).'”
Reference: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3067 Book 47, Hadith 119

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “If a man says to his brother, O Kafir (disbeliever)!’ Then surely one of them is such (i.e., a Kafir). “
Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 6103 Book 78, Hadith 130

It was narrated that Masruq said:

“If a judge accepts a gift he has consumed something unlawful, and if he accepts a bribe, that takes him to the level of Kufr.” Masruq said: “Whoever drinks Khamr, he has committed (an act of) Kufr, and his Kufr is that his Salah does not count.”
