Surah Al Falaq Tafseer and Translation
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيم
Bismillah hir rahman nir raheem
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
شُروع اَللہ کے پاک نام سے جو بڑا مہر بان نہايت رحم والا ہے ۔
Verse 1
قُلۡ اَعُوۡذُ بِرَبِّ الۡفَلَقِ ۙ
Qul a’oozu bi rabbil-falaq
آپ عرض کیجئے کہ میں (ایک) دھماکے سے انتہائی تیزی کے ساتھ (کائنات کو) وجود میں لانے والے رب کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں
Beseech: ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of daybreak (or Who brought the universe into existence with an explosion extremely fast),
Tafseer
say, O Messenger: I seek refuge in the Lord of the morning and seek His protection and refuge from the evil of what He has created. It is also said that Al-Falaq refers to a prison in Hellfire, and it is also said that it refers to the morning.
Quranic Reference:
“If you are tempted by Satan, then seek refuge with Allah. Surely He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.”
Verse 2
مِنۡ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Min sharri maa khalaq
ہر اس چیز کے شر (اور نقصان) سے جو اس نے پیدا فرمائی ہے
From the evil influence (and harmfulness) of everything that He has created,
Tafseer
from the evil of all creatures, including humans, jinn, and animals
Quranic Reference: The Quran mentions seeking refuge in Allah from various evils in different contexts, such as
Verse 3
وَ مِنۡ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ اِذَا وَقَبَ
Wa min sharri ghaasiqin izaa waqab
اور (بالخصوص) اندھیری رات کے شر سے جب (اس کی) ظلمت چھا جائے
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
Tafseer
from the evil that appears during the intensely dark night when people are overwhelmed and harmful things and evils spread.
Verse 4
وَ مِنۡ شَرِّ النَّفّٰثٰتِ فِی الۡعُقَدِ
Wa min sharrin-naffaa-taati fil ‘uqad
اور گرہوں میں پھونک مارنے والی جادوگرنیوں (اور جادوگروں) کے شر سے
And from the evil of the blowers in knots
Tafseer
from the evil of sorcerers who blow into what they have tied with the intention of sorcery, and from those who seek their help to harm others.
Quranic Reference: The Quran condemns magic and sorcery as evil, as seen in
Verse 5
وَ مِنۡ شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ اِذَا حَسَدَ
Wa min sharri haasidin izaa hasad
اور ہر حسد کرنے والے کے شر سے جب وہ حسد کرے
And from the evil of an envier when he envies
Tafseer
seek refuge in Allah from every envious and malicious person who harbors envy towards the blessings that Allah bestows upon His servants, and desires their removal and harm to befall them.
